1957 Founded Kenko Co.,Ltd.
1974 Kenko Optical Co., Ltd. was founded as an affiliate for the purpose of manufacturing optical products.
1980 The Product Center was completed and opened in Miyoshi-cho, Saitama Prefecture.
1981 Capital was increased to 50 million Japanese yen.
1989 Koei Seiki Co., Ltd. was purchased and it started operations as an affiliate.
1989 Philippine Kenko Corporation was established in Mactan.
1992 Capital was increased to 100 million Japanese yen.
1993 Kenko invested capital in T.H.K. Photo Products Inc. (USA)
1997 Asiaoptical Co., Ltd. was purchased and it started operations as an affiliate.
1997 Relocated the Head Office to Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
1998 TASCO JAPAN Co. was purchased and it started operations as an affiliate.
2000 Philippines Sakurai Plastic was purchased and it started operations as an affiliate.
2001 SLIK Corporation was purchased and it started operations as an affiliate.
2002 Relocated the Product Center to Hidaka-shi, Saitama Prefecture due to business expansion.
2005 Founded Shanghai KTS Co., Ltd.
2006 Founded Kenko Professional Imaging Co., Ltd.
2007 ASKA was purchased and it started operations as an affiliate.
2008 Fujimoto Photo Industrial was purchased and it started operations as an affiliate.
2011 Kenko merged with Tokina, and the company name has changed to Kenko Tokina Co., Ltd.
